Backstory: I was a pro photographer before I became a NYT bestselling author. Won awards. Specialty was moms & plus sizes. Grannies.
I’ve also been in theatrical productions, performed on stage, sold from the stage, was interviewed on TV, & in a NYT cover page story.
All of those required doing my own hair & makeup due to budget cuts. So I learned how to do the right type of make up needed for bright lights, stages, and video.
Fast-forward to a few weeks ago. During a self portrait workshop I offered, 3 huge things that came to the surface:
1. Women are dying to know how to look their best on camera.
2. They’re afraid of the camera.
3. Most ppl don’t realize how much a bad image can lie about what you really look like.
I strongly believe every woman is beautiful.
You should play up the assets you have.
Size and age don’t matter.
You are beautiful.
